These pieces have been personally and spiritually inspired by African, Native American, and Asian cultures with much love, peace, and good intentions. Fran began painting early in life and then took a different career path in corporate America. After many of life's painful losses, twists and turns, it was always the world of art that beckoned and welcomed her back. A friend recently requested a small handpainted screen, that Fran was known for creating, to cover a space in front of a table or desk. This began a new body of work that is ongoing and spiritually inspired. Now there's an insatiable drive to reestablish the imagery of ceremonial masks and ethnic designs of the various cultures that once populated her environment through an extensive collection from all over the world. The spiritual pursuit to be surrounded by cultural imagery of protection, power, longevity, and good fortune has been personally rewarding. Now there's the desire to share these creations with others to enjoy as well. The use of acrylics on wood and canvas with an infusion of metallic has created these signature vibrant, emotional and spiritual pieces.
