Wynn Walters is a sculptor who works in stone and in bronze, in a style that is largely representational you can see what its supposed to be, with a focus on the female figure and portraiture, and on bird and wildlife subjects. His work is represented in private collections in Toronto, Ottawa, Dallas, Detroit, Nashville, Rhode Island, Arkansas and London England, with public commissions in botanical garden and church settings, including a sevenfoot marble figure as a central focus of a memorial garden at a large church in Nashville, Tenn. His pieces range in size from tabletop to lifesize. Wynn is largely selftaught, having taken up sculpture fulltime after a 26year career in the telecommunications industry, including executive positions with Nortel Networks Corporation in Canada and the U.S. His earlier career also included service with the United Nations in the Middle East and as a journalist in Canada. He was born in Wales, and holds degrees from the University of Western Ontario London, Canada and Northwestern University Evanston, Illinois. He lives and works at his home and studio in Uxbridge, Ontario, Canada, an hour northeast of Toronto, where his work can be seen by appointment.
