Artist Chris Reid attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City in 1985 where she studied graphic arts, photography, and the traditional fine arts of drawing and painting. While attending SVA, she obtained an internship with NBCs comedy television show Saturday Night Live. She transferred to Boston University to study photojournalism, and in 1990 received a Bachelor of Science degree in photojournalism with a concentration in art history from Boston Universitys College of Communication. Chris went on to become the Associate Director of Aurora & Quanta Productions, a small internationally recognized photography agency that represents the work of National Geographic photographers. Chris worked as a freelance artist while teaching in the Fine Art Department at Hebron Academy for six years. Chris artwork has been represented by the Art3 Gallery of Manchester, New Hampshire, and The White Mountain Artisan Gallery of North Conway, New Hampshire. She is a member of the Pastel Painters of Maine, and the Artel Gallery in Florida. She is currently represented by A Means of Expression gallery in Pensacola, and is available for commissioned architectural renderings, portraits and landscapes. Her award winning artwork can be found in galleries, national juried shows, private exhibits and private collections nationwide.
